On Wednesday, October 14,  the 12th grade students will be taking the ACT exam. Students should arrive by 8:15 a.m. Testing should end between 12:15-12:30. Grade 11 students will work from home that day. 

State law now requires age-appropriate firearm safety instruction and human trafficking awareness for students from Kindergarten through 12th Grade.  CVLA will be providing this instruction during regular class meetings on October 13 and 21 with age-appropriate content for every grade. The instruction is developed with the TN Department of Education, the Department of Safety and Homeland Security, and TWRA, and focuses on firearm safety and responsibility, demonstrating a mature attitude regarding firearms, and knowing the proper storage of firearms and ammunition in the home. It will be delivered in a viewpoint-neutral way, using no live-fire activities. For human trafficking awareness, we do not directly discuss human trafficking or what it is. Instead, our focus is on the safety measures students can take to be safe.

Progress Reports were sent home this week. Please review the information with your child. If you have questions or concerns, we will be hosting parent / teacher conferences on Tuesday, September 22, from 3:00-4:00.
